Riverlake Colony // Henrico County + River Road Corridor
In a similar vein to Barrington, Riverlake Colony was developed at a similar time with a similar concept as a decidedly upscale new home subdivision with a large degree of diversity in the home designs. Located off River Road near the Gaskins road intersection Riverlake Colony, was strategically located within the River Road corridor near the Collegiate School and the Country Club of Virginia’s River and Tuckahoe Creek Courses. The Gaskins Road proximity gave the residents easy access to the overwhelming retail component of western Henrico along Broad Street to the North.
Riverlake’s initial sections, closer to River Road offer grander and more unique homes than later sections. The homes in the first sections were constructed more in the category of ‘Design + Build’ while later sections followed the path of ‘Speculatively Built’ and thus, the architecture became more traditional.
